Before I begin to give my miracle testimony of what God has, will and can do for you, if we just put our trust in Him! I must tell you how important the number three is to me. I was diagnosed in 2003 after having a lumpectomy and 18 lymph nodes removed from my right arm on may 9, 2003. Three weeks later the business that everyone knew as "A Caring Touch Funeral Services" , it closed on May 31, 2003.

So now it's been 17 years and we are still here! God has been so good through all of this. I guess that my story is for all women who are going through breast cancer, sickness of any type. Divorce, Finances are any troubles in your life, I want to encourage you that we have to walk by faith and not by sight! Even in your darkest hours, we have to learn to praise Him! The more we praise Him, our blessing will over take us!

When I first took my chemo(1 of 8) treatments I was so scared! You hear all the scary stories of how "the red devil" is the term used for the chemo medicine that enters your veins and the unknown of what's going to happen is very frightening to say the least. Before I even started the chemo, I had to get a port put in my chest because my veins were to small to take the large needles. This way was to make it much easier than shooting you in your arms, but, I didn't think so. Every time I was shot in my port it would sometimes feel like scorpions were stinging me in my chest, I would just pray as the word says in Isaiah 53:5 "By His stripes I'm healed. "By His stripes I'm healed." Those words would help me to calm down. Some of the after effects were horrible! To name a few, my first chemo, I had severe diarrhea for 3 days. The second treatment, I had can-core sores in my entire mouth. I could not even stand water to touch my mouth; and what was difficult for me was the first 2 weeks was my energy was completely zapped. Right when your strength is coming back, you have to go back for another treatment and I would say, here we go again.

After my first treatment, the doctor told me after my 2nd treatment I would loose my hair; I flipped out! I had always had lots of hair, and to know that I was going to go completely bald, was one of the darkest days of my life! You see, women, we find our glory in our hair, short, long, kinky, black brown, or what ever color, it is our crown.

Pam says her faith in God, and being a mammographist and she was not only able, to do her job, but it allowed her and opportunity to share her journey with other women. |
